To address the identified gaps and drive the industry forward, the report highlights several key recommendations:
- Deliver the first round of CCUS projects to build confidence in the sector and enable firm project strategies.
- Maintain a strong emphasis on local content across various stages of project development to embed the UK supply chain in CCUS strategies.
- Develop a set of guiding principles to establish best practices early in the sector's development.
- Explore options for CCUS-specific supply chain directories and programmes like Fit4CCUS to clearly communicate opportunities and highlight reputable suppliers.
The full report offers a comprehensive overview and detailed recommendations, which will guide the next steps for the CCUS industry in the UK. As we move forward, collaboration between government, industry, and other stakeholders will be vital to achieving the ambitious goals set out for CCUS and ensuring the sector's success.
