TÜV SÜD is delighted to have the Energy Industries Council (EIC) onboard again as sponsors of the Global Flow Measurement Workshop (GFMW) for 2024. Running since 1982, the GFMW is the foremost flow measurement event worldwide, with key stakeholders in the energy industry delivering first-class technical content, sharing best practice, and working together to solve the most critical measurement challenges.
Following a successful sponsorship of the virtual North Sea Flow Measurement Workshop in 2020, then the newly rebranded Global Flow Measurement Workshop in 2022, the EIC is once again showing its commitment to fostering collaboration within the energy industry.
The EIC, established in 1943, is a not-for-profit organisation and one of the world's largest energy trade associations for companies supplying goods and services to the energy industries worldwide. With over 900 member companies ranging from major international contractors and operators to specialised product and service providers, the EIC plays a crucial role in connecting organisations across the energy supply chain.
The EIC explained more saying:
"Members and clients have access to an array of products and services through our London HQ and offices in Dubai, Houston, Kuala Lumpur, and Rio de Janeiro, including EICDataStream, a worldwide database of energy projects in development, and EICAssetMap, a comprehensive operating assets information service. We also offer event solutions, and our expert analysts and consultants produce insightful reports and bespoke market intelligence. In recognition of our commitment to excellence, the EIC was honoured to receive the prestigious King's Award for Enterprise in 2023."
The EIC's main aim is to build the world's largest energy supply chain membership to provide its members with a strong, global network of energy company customers, suppliers, and partners. By facilitating trade and export, supporting business development activities, and fostering diversification across all energy sectors, the EIC aims to add significant value to each of its member companies.
Additionally, the EIC strives to be the voice of the energy supply chain globally. Working closely with key energy stakeholders and governments, the EIC actively advocates for policies that align with the evolving needs of the energy supply chain. By doing so, the organisation contributes to shaping an environment that supports sustainable growth and innovation within the energy sector.
The EIC's objectives align with TÜV SÜD's own commitment to supporting collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the industry.
