Anaergia has been contracted by Capwatt to build nine biogas plants in Europe. To be spread across Italy, Portugal and Spain, the projects are part of a letter of intent signed by the two companies.
Once operational, the nine facilities are planned to produce 556,000MWh of biomethane combined per year. Start-up should be reached in the next 30 months.
Anaergia calculates that the nine projects will generate approximately US$43m. The Canadian company has already worked for Capwatt before, installing two biomethane plants in Italy and Portugal.
