Power purchase agreements (PPAs) have been firmed between Google and Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE) for over 700MW of solar generation capacity. According to Google, the projects are strategically located to support the company's data center operations in Oklahoma, United States.
The PPAs benefit three solar farms: the 372MW Mayes County complex, Twelvemile 1 & 2 (152.5MW), and Twelvemile 3 (200MW).
According to LRE, Mayes County alone will require the creation of over 300 jobs and contribute with approximately US$76m in tax revenue.
