A short-term power purchase agreement (PPA) has been signed by Avangrid and Statkraft for the former's Casselman project in the United States. The asset in question is a 35MW wind farm in Pennsylvania.
This is Avangrid and Statkraft's second deal together in nine months. Earlier this year, another PPA was established for Avangrid's 300MW wind farm in Illinois.
Casselman, which features 23 turbines, is operational since 2007. The facility was built south of Pittsburgh, near Meyersdale and Rockwood.
