Bruce Power has submitted to Canadian authorities its initial project description (IPD) for a nuclear power plant in Ontario. Named Bruce C, the facility will have a generation capacity of 4.6GW.
After an invitation by Canada's Impact Assessment Agency (IAAC) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), the indigenous peoples to be impacted by the project's construction will review the IPD and provide feedback on it.
Bruce C is planned to be installed within the Territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, in the municipality of Kincardine. Once operational, it could be maintained for up to 100 years.
