bp has awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract to Subsea7 in the UK North Sea. The works are related to the Murlach project in the UK North Sea, located approximately 240km off the coast of Aberdeen.
Subsea7 will be responsible for the design and installation of subsea pipelines and production systems. This is the first deployment of OneSubsea's standard vertical monobore tree systems in the region. Murlach will also feature two vertical monobore trees, a two-slot manifold and associated topside controls.
Subsea7 will carry out the installation of 8km of rigid flowline and two flexible jumpers. The contractor's Vigra spoolbase in Norway will concentrate manufacturing. Offshore work is scheduled for next year.
