Canadian Solar's subsidiary Recurrent Energy has begun operations at Bayou Galion Solar. The 127MW solar park was built in Louisiana, United States.
The power plant is capable to produce enough energy to meet the needs of approximately 20,500 homes per year. The local community will also benefit from tax revenues provided by Bayou Galion.
Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) was involved in the project's financing, which totaled US$160m. Primoris Renewable Energy, meanwhile, provided engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.
