Wisconsin's Public Service Commission (PSCW) has granted approval to the largest solar power project in its history. Developed by Doral Renewables, the Vista Sands solar park is planned to cover an area of over 6,000 acres in Portage County.
The power plant is calculated to receive an investment of US$2bn and reach more than 1.3GW of generation capacity.
Construction is slated for 2026, with start-up coming until 2029.
