Evergy is developing two new energy projects in Kansas, United States. The company intends to install a 705MW combined-cycle natural gas plant in Sumner County and another one of the same kind and capacity in Reno County.
At the beginning of the year, Evergy presented its energy plan for the next 20 years to commissions from Kansas and Missouri. The above projects are part of the company's planned generation investments in both states.
The facility in Sumner County is scheduled to enter operations in 2029, while the one in Reno County should be ready in 2030. Both will be in service for 40 years.
