Woodside concludes acquisition of Tellurian and LNG project in Louisiana

Woodside has completed the acquisition of Tellurian and its Driftwood LNG project in Louisiana, United States. The liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal and its previous developer were acquired for nearly US$900m in cash (or US$1 per share), with an implied enterprise value of US$1.2bn.

Now, the LNG project, located in Calcasieu Parish, has been renamed Woodside Louisiana LNG.  The terminal is expected to feature a capacity of 27.6 milliones tonnes per annum.

FID on Wooside Louisiana LNG is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. Engineering design works are complete and civil works are currently ongoing.
