Snowy Hydro and TagEnergy have firmed a power purchase agreement (PPA). According to the agreement, the first development stage of TagEnergy's Golden Plains wind farm has 40% of its production secured by Snowy Hydro.
Once fully built, this phase of Golden Plains will have a capacity of 756MW. The project's site is located in Rokewood, in Victoria, Australia.
In development in partnership with Ingka Group (which owns 15% of the facility, while TagEnergy holds the remaining share), Golden Plains is designed to feature 122 turbines.
Construction is ongoing since April this year, with conclusion expected in early 2025.
