Policy into Practice – What’s next for the Energy Sector?
The upcoming election in the UK is drawing significant attention to various key issues, with the environment and climate change ranking as the fifth most important concern among voters according to a recent poll from YouGov.
The recent manifestos from political parties vary. The Conservative Party are promising new exploration licenses, the launch of a nuclear roadmap and pro offshore wind to name a few. Labour, who seem to be pro nuclear energy, have stated that they will not award any new exploration licenses but also will not revoke either. They have also stated that they will support 35,000 new jobs in clean energy and its supply chains. The Green Party and the Liberal Democrats appear anti O&G and anti-nuclear.
This variation between parties leaves us to ask the question – what is next for the energy sector? Join us and our panel of experts to explore these policies in-depth and listen to insights into what the future holds for the UK's energy sector under the newly elected Government.
This event will be invaluable for the energy supply chain sector seeking clarity on energy and climate policies.
