The ETZ masterclass series is back for its third season! In the first edition of the new series we will be taking a look at Scotland’s Hydrogen future.
Can Hydrogen be the answer for a balanced energy system in Scotland, one that delivers secure, affordable and low carbon energy and maximises Scotland’s abundant natural resources?
Hydrogen’s potential to revolutionise various sectors, from transportation to industrial processes, cannot be overlooked. It offers a viable solution to decarbonise our energy systems as we continue to look at ways to combat carbon emissions and climate change.
Scotland's decarbonisation strategy relies heavily on low carbon hydrogen. Green hydrogen provides a clean and sustainable energy source, and additionally offers energy storage capabilities. Blue hydrogen is seen as a transitional solution that can also accelerate the scaling up of a hydrogen economy to support decarbonising Scotland’s energy system.
A major advantage for Scotland lies in the potential to integrate its established oil and gas supply chain. Drawing upon extensive experience and expertise in the oil and gas industry, Scotland has the opportunity to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and efficiently harness its renewable energy potential. The robustness of this energy supply chain equips Scotland with the necessary expertise to efficiently deliver equipment, materials, and services, contributing to cost-effective and on-time delivery of projects and therefore solidifies Scotland's position as a global frontrunner in the production and use of hydrogen.
Join us on Wednesday 28 August to gain valuable insights into the latest advancements, projects, and solutions that are shaping hydrogen’s role within Scotland’s energy landscape and find out how your company can get involved.
