About this event
The offshore wind sector has gained global recognition as an attractive market, with the UK leading the way with the second largest operational capacity, whilst also contributing significantly to its clean energy transition. One exciting development is the Celtic Sea Cluster, located off the coast of Cornwall and between Wales and Ireland.
Last year we saw The Crown Estate open a leasing opportunity in the Celtic Sea for the first generation of commercial scale floating offshore wind farms, to potentially unlock up to 4GW of clean energy capacity between 2030 and 2035. The Crown Estate is looking to launch the three-stage tender this year. It is estimated that offshore floating wind in the Celtic Sea could unlock 3,000 jobs and £682 million in supply chain opportunities by 2030.
Join us as we dive deeper into the Celtic Sea Industrial Cluster, exploring its sustainable development plans for a long-term international industry base that will deliver sustainable jobs and growth for the region. We will hear from the major players and partnerships already involved and find out about the host of supply chain possibilities now and in the future.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about this exciting new chapter in the clean energy revolution.
Pre-event welcome reception: We will also be hosting an informal pre-event drinks reception the evening prior (25th September) within the hotel for speakers and delegates who would like to come along for a little extra networking. This will be held in the main bar area at the Hilton Hotel from 6pm-8pm. Burgers, beers and soft drinks will be available.
Accommodation at the Hilton: If you are looking to stay overnight at the event venue you can access a discounted room rate HERE
