About this event
Globally the cost of decommissioning is expected to be worth over USD$200 billion over the next 20 years; around 49% of which is expected to be spent on wells.
Future regions of spend include the Middle East, APAC and Latin America with each of these regions facing their own unique challenges. These range from lack of transparency and regulations around decommissioning, having experience but only on small scale projects, and countries which are at the very beginning of their decommissioning journey.
Lessons can be learned from the UK North Sea. The UK has exportable expertise in decommissioning, mainly in late life management, subsea and technology.
Join us for an interactive webinar with the EIC’s Diveena Danabalan, Senior Upstream Energy Analyst who will talk us through the recently published Decommissioning insight report and address the importance of supply chain expansion out of the North Sea.
