About this event
The Celtic Sea, located between the south coast of Ireland and the west coast of Great Britain, is becoming a focal point for offshore wind energy development due to its favourable conditions. The region holds significant potential for harnessing wind energy to meet renewable energy targets and reduce carbon emissions. Floating offshore wind projects are particularly promising in the Celtic Sea because they can access deeper waters where traditional fixed-bottom turbines are not feasible. During the day we will be discussing the floating offshore wind projects, both proposed and those looking to take part in the upcoming Round 5 Leasing Round. With advancements in technology and ongoing efforts to streamline regulatory processes, the Celtic Sea is emerging as a hub for sustainable energy production, contributing to both regional economic developments as well playing a vital role in addressing climate change.
Join us … as we hear more about the Celtic Sea Industrial Cluster, discuss its development plans for a sustainable long-term international industry base to deliver sustainable jobs and growth for the region, and discover the host of supply chain opportunities the cluster is offering.
