Over the past months the Ukrainian energy sector has suffered from permanent and deliberate attacks by Russian invaders. The energy infrastructure has and continues to be damaged on a daily basis. More than 1.5 million residents in 745 settlements are deprived of electricity supply. The scale of damage is catastrophic.

Since February DTEK’s emergency crews have restored power supply to more than 2.2 million Ukrainian homes. There is however an urgent need for assistance from the UK Supply Chain to help restore power in areas of Ukraine where essential infrastructure has been destroyed.

DTEK along with other Ukrainian energy companies require items for distribution grids and thermal generation assets. DTEK believe in Ukraine’s victory and are making plans on further investment into renewables and decarbonisation, including grids modernisation, hydrogen projects, and battery storage.
