TaperLok gives an average of 65% of weight saving compered to standard flanges and over 20% smaller in size. However the real benefit is the misalignment built in of 1 to 3 degrees, this is the only flange that can offer this. Saving on time with installation, subsea, topside and other applications e.g. CCUS. With the faster make up this can save time and CO2 with less vessel times and turnaround onshore.

PIPENET software is the global leader in its application in the oil & gas industry. It is a tool for flow analysis in steady state and dynamic conditions. Examples of its applications are the following. Firewater Systems, LNG loading/unloading/bunkering, transfer lines for crude/LNG, cooling water systems, water injection systems, ventilation systems, CO2 transfer lines and refuelling systems. In addition to traditional pressure loss and water hammer calculations, it has unique features such as modelling control systems, calculation of hydraulic transient forces, priming of dry pipes, movement of air pockets and liquid slugs in piping systems and priming of partially filled pipes. This presentation will show examples of the above applications.

The energy sector is going through several simultaneous transitions that pose significant challenges – while the primary driver is the transition from hydrocarbons to clean energy, the increasing role of AI and autonomous technologies will also shape the skillsets required as employees navigate their way through this transformation. The UK and the UAE are pioneering new ways of supporting workers as they adapt and reskill, and companies such as Xodus and ADNOC are partnering together to address the skills gap by sharing their know-how and experience. This panel session will examine how the two countries can work more closely together on creating the clean energy workforce of the future.
